Notre Dame, ranked #17, secured at 28-3 victory over Miami (OH) this past Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium. The Irish offense struggled early, trailing 3-0 in the second quarter. Riley Leonard rebounded with 297 total yards and 3 TDs, including a pivotal 50 yard rushing TD late in the game.
The Irish took control in the 2nd quarter, as Leonard's 8 yard run and 38 yard TD pass to Beaux Collins helped the Irish take a 14-3 halftime lead. The defense played a key role in keeping the RedHawks at bay, with notable contributions from Christian Gray and Junior Tuihalamaka, who each had critical INT's to thwart Miami's advances. Notre Dame's offense tallied 270 rushing yards, and their defense prevented any momentum after the RedHawks early lead.
